Last of the Season

So we HAD to test out our anniversary presents to each other... I got Chad some "sweet" skis and he got me my very own skis that I can grow with in skill.

The babysitters were here bright and early and we decided to go towards Cleveland in hopes of finding a "larger" hill to ski. For the East Coast it was not bad and there were moguls for Chad to ski and even some black diamonds that I was able to conquer (all without falling!!!).

Chad's new skis took some getting use to. He says they are heavier and of course longer in the back with a flip. They are great for powder and speed. Of course there was no powder. It was 42* by the end of the day so it was more slush and ice, but he was able to test them out on the black diamond for speed and the moguls for tricks.

Of course his best run on the moguls I failed to get the camera recording in time, such is life... but I did get one run that was pretty good (according to Chad).

Time to get the skis "waxed for storage" and all the ski gear washed and put away until next year. So long snow, until next year!

Now we can look to the spring and anticipate the warmer days, spring showers, flowers, the sight of grass and days at the playground letting the girls run wild.
