Early Chistmas gift for Ali

Have you ever been going through life and realize that God has his hand in everything? Jim Brickman was in Frederick in NOV, but I had no idea because I don't listen to 97.1 (mushy music). During this time of year they play Christmas music, so I tune in, and heard that Jim will be in DC on the 20th. Little did I know that this was the plan, it is colder, lights are up; 4 days before Christmas seeing a holiday concert in the city just has a different feel. I went to Ticketmaster thinking that I needed to be a big shot and get Alicia up close. Well those tickets are a little expensive (and if you know me, then you know they must be high if I pass when getting something for Ali), so I went with the cheap seats. After three failed attempts for babysitters, our normal childcare provider was able to come and watch the girls. Traffic was not bad (for east coast), and we found the auditorium with a small tour of the city (I hate the 66 and E street intersections!). Our seats were at the far left (isle) one row back from the walking area that seperates the expensive seats from ours. As we waited for the show to start I read that VIPs could meet Jim after the show (do I need to say more with the attached pic?). He started the show with Alicia's favorite song of the season. We were to Jim's back (so we could see his hands tickling the ivory as he puts it) just perfectly. It was a terrific show and I would do it all over again. I'll just sit back and wait to see if that is the plan.
