I had to open my mouth

Really?!?!?! Snow, in March? My goodness. Was it not less than a week ago that I posted that Ol' Man Winter was on the outs? What happened? Did he really miss making my life crazy and hectic so much that he had the urge to dump 2 plus inches of snow on my house this morning?
Yes, the girls were excited. Madison got to stay home from school and have a sweats, popcorn and a movie kinda day with mommy and her sisters. However, was this on mommy's "to do" list for the day. NO! Stretching. I am convinced God wants me to stretch even more on days like today.
What did I do? I embraced the day. We had a morning of playing in the snow (mommy shoveling the driveway and sidewalks while the girls DUMPED more snow on them for me!) and then a nice little lunch, finger paints, naps (for the younger two) while Madison ate popcorn and watched a movie with just mommy. To end the day... chili and rice to warm out tummies.
No, my mommy chores did not stop. The 12 loads of laundry were still being done in the midst of all of this, but my "going out" chores were put to the way side for another day. I can't complain. A quiet day with my girls with nowhere to go and nothing DEMANDING me to get done NOW was pleasant.
Who do I thank for this unexpected nice day? Ol' Man Winter!
*Note: Ol' Man Winter... feel free to go into hibernation. Thank you!

I hear ya...I get very annoyed when circumstances I can not change change my schedule of things to do while girls are at preschool. Those 3 hours,3 days a week are VERY precious to me.
But, I do think God is teaching me to be patient and more easy going by throwing weather and illness at me. Ha.
That happened the week before
Christmas break with all the snow we had. I was counting on it being my last week with no kids to get ready for the baby. Boy...was that NOT the case.
