The girls and I spent the last week at Vacation Bible School. It was held at our church here and it is HUGE! The morning session has over 800 kiddos ages 4years- 6th grade! That does not include the kiddos that are in the 3 years and younger child care for the volunteers.
Madison was in the actual VBS and had a blast. She was a champ at memorizing her memory verses and was able to say all 5 this afternoon without reminders! I am so proud of that girl!
Hannah was in the 3years group (not part of the actual VBS) but they still did the singing, crafts and lessons that the older kiddos did. She loved the crafts and all the time playing with friends her size and age!
Lillian did really well for the most part. She loved going into the main session for the singing and I found her in a MOSH PIT of 2 year olds this morning singing, "JOY JOY JOY JOY JOY!" My heart melted!
I volunteered out in the HOT, HUMID sun doing games with the 4s, Pre-K and K aged groups. I somehow managed to make it the entire week without a sunburn. Thank you sunscreen that is NOT expired!
All of us girls had a GREAT week, but are thankful that it is over. Starting tomorrow we are officially on SUMMER VACATION, ready to relax, swim, bike ride, go for walks and what not as we please. Very little scheduled! Thank you, Jesus for VBS but thank you for a SUMMER VACATION, too!
