Saturday we celebrated Madison's 5th birthday... yikes, did I just say 5th. How in the world did that happen? I know, it is cliche to say "times flies" but WOW! In her five years she has lived in Washington, Missouri, Germany and Maryland. On top of that she has visited over 10 countries. Not an ordinary life by any means.
This year we will be in Oregon for her actual birthday so we had Gracie (her friend from school) and her family over for a BBQ and cake. It was muggy and warm, but the kids ran wild outside and tuckered themselves out. It was a fun time with good "new" friends. Madison was stoked to get "Prince Philip." She is obsessed with him. There are days she asks to be him... UGH! With the new doll she swings him around with Sleeping Beauty and sings. THANK YOU GRACIE!
After cleaning up last night, Chad unboxed the gift from Aunt Michelle and family. It was a play dough ice cream shop set. He had it set out on the couch... Mommy and Daddy woke up to Madison and Hannah playing with the ice cream shop. :oP At least it was safe fun, right?!?!?!?!
What a year Madison has had, but she is eager to get through the summer to start Kindergarten, wherever that may be.
