Boo Spectacular

Friday night it was 77 degrees out! What a shocker after having freezing temperatures just a week prior.
As I was sitting in the living room watching my kiddos in a sugar HIGH I decided we HAD to do something outside that was free. I checked the Columbus Zoo in hopes there was something going on after hours for the weekend and sure enough... "Boo Spectacular!" The zoo was staying open until 9pm. (Earlier this fall we had purchased a year pass for our family and so it was FREE!) Chad hurried home, we gobbled up our brisket sandwiches and Carmel apple slices and headed out.
There were blow-up exhibits, businesses handing out candy, festive light that were not scary, people running around in NON-SCARY costumes and tons of families enjoying the warm weather and time together. The girls had a blast seeing the animals at night and getting candy and being allowed to eat it as they received it.
That, my friends, is what makes me tick! Time with my family... even if it is on "date night!"
