With all our snow Madison has been out in it more than I could have ever expected. She loves the snow, cold and all! While playing yesterday, Madison asked if she could shovel the driveway. My thought was, WHY?!?!?! She persisted. I agreed that she could when Chad got home and he could teach her. DEAL!
Sure enough, Chad got home and Madison was waiting for the opportunity to shovel the driveway. She did a great job, never complained, never got tired, just kept trudging along.
I thought that the hard work would prevent her from asking to do the job again, but to my SHOCK she woke up to another new dusting of snow and asked to shovel AGAIN. So my 5 1/2 year old headed out in her gear (put it all on herself), grabbed the shovel and proceeded to do an amazing job.
As I am wiring this I wonder who can please tell me when she went from being my "Little Madison" to "Madison the Great?" I am not sure I am ready for her to be so independent, though I do like that my driveway is clear to head to Costco later.
