| Hannah's new bike! |
Growing up in Oregon I never thought I would be able to function in upper 80 degree weather, let alone 90 or 100 degree weather. Oh! Then you have to add on the heat index due to the humidity since we are in Missouri.

This past weekend we were in the upper 90s and on Sunday hit 102* F by NOON without the heat index. Does this stop our family from being out and about enjoying activities? NOPE! We just take precautions. Promise. Lots of water, lots and lots and lots of sunscreen, and extra breaks in the sun.
Saturday we had a family bike ride (mommy and daddy walk). Sunday we played some soccer. In order to not overheat we tag teamed. We would take turns in the shade getting drinks of unsweet iced tea and then go back out. By noon it was 102* F and time to head into the safety of our AC.
I guess you really can take the "Oregon blood" out our a girl. I no longer melt and think I will "die" in the heat. It is rather enjoyable, as long as we can take proper safety precautions.
