Our Fire-Cracker!

Hannah's 5!!!

Happy Birthday Hannah Bear!

The "last" birthday of the year for our immediate family is Hannah and she celebrates it with a BANG! Literally! Fireworks and all. Chad and I wanted a fourth of July baby and came so close and were blessed with a fifth of July baby.

Hannah loves having fireworks go off the night before to usher is HER DAY and all the festivities. It somehow makes it okay that daddy has to go to work and things go about as "normal" for the most part.
This year we had yummy pound cake for breakfast (leftover from the night before) smothered in butter per Hannah's request and chocolate milk and then headed out to a doctor's appointment for Hannah where daddy was able to meet up with us and be there to listen and help out. You see, she is schedule for surgery soon (I will blog about that later) and we needed to have a pre-op done and her birthday was the only day they could squeeze it in. Thankfully she is a laid back kiddo and did not mind all the attention to HER on HER birthday. (Just like her mommy... mwahahahahahahahahahaha) Later, we were able to squeeze in a trip to the pool on post with a friend. Hannah and Madison jumped off the diving board, went swimming with life vests in the deep end, and went down the water slide too many times to count. Grandma even got the "there" on Skype for a few minutes.

Of course, the meal of choice was SPAGHETTI! The messiest meal possible for a child that loves to get and be messy! Then a cake that she begged to have the face of "Tangled" frosted on. (No, my pipping tools broke so we had to put the frosting in the plastic baggies and then cut a little tip off and just use that. Not the best or easiest. I am so blessed I have a husband who can be artistic and came to the rescue!) O'ma and O'pa joined us on the computer for the "party" and opening presents and the end of the day and Hannah said it was a GREAT birthday.

I hope it's a Princess book!
Target MONEY!!!
Make a wish!
This year Hannah has gone from being a dependent Pre-schooler to an Independent thinker who is ready for Kindergarten. She is a soft spoken child with a very sensitive spirit, but she has thickened her skin and found her voice and learned to use it. Not always at the best of times, but as adults do we always use ours at the best of times?

She loves to draw and pretend that she is an Astronaut. She talks with Daddy and examines her space flash cards for hours dreaming of space. But will she try and learn all her letters in "lower case?" NEVER! That is work.

That is Hannah. Independent thinker and she knows what she loves. Most of all. She loves her sisters and her mommy and daddy. Home and family are her safe zone. Her happy place. If you were to ever cross those things you would meet fiery Hannah who lives up to her RED hair with a BRIGHT orange streak! Watch out world! Hannah is FIVE and fills an entire HAND! She is ready to start Kindergarten and she is finding her own two feet. Who knows what she will accomplish!Happy Birthday, Hannah! Daddy and Mommy love you!!!
