An Early Independence Day!

The Ladies of Bible Study!!!
Friday nights are Bible Study nights for our family. During the school year it is usually every Friday, but during the summer we are blessed to get one ever other week. Unfortunately we missed the entire month of June so to make up for time lost we had to have a BIG "reunion" Friday night!

We have been studying the book of Revelation. It is not the "easiest" or lightest study, but it has been very good Chad and me and our walk with the Lord. It has forced us to open our eyes and hearts to scripture and dig deeper.

So here we are studying chapters 8-10 and all the excitement and glory and depth that comes with it. Many (Christians and unsaved may say scary or fearful facts) wonderful facts that are to come about trumpets sounding and end times with some graphic details that are far from rated G. All the while our kiddos are down stairs having their own Bible story on Creation.

At the end of the study we brought all the kiddos up stairs to celebrate (not with trumpets... get it? If not go read the chapters!!) Hannah, Lillian and another little girls' birthday before setting off over $200 worth of Missouri style fireworks! See in Missouri you are allowed to buy and set off (LEGALLY!!!) fireworks that go into the sky and look professional. We had our own little show in the front yard. The guys had a blast playing with fire while all us ladies had fun chit chatting, laughing, giggling, playing with sparklers and watching the kids run around trying not to kill each other.

I suppose only Christians can find humor or fun in going to Bible Study and studying the book of Revelation and then having a birthday party followed with "Independence Day" celebrations.

God is truly good in giving us strong Christian friends in each station HE places us.
