6 Months Already! (Asthma Update)

We have made it 6 months!
Waiting for Dr. K to come in!
Yesterday we made the two hour drive (each way) to Columbia, MO to see Dr. K (Pulmonologist) for Lillian's bi-annual Asthma Action Plan (AAP) Review and check-up.
*It had been a LONG week and especially a LONG night. Lillian is recovering from a summer cold and her allergies have started up again. So her nose is a faucet, but she is not wheezing as we are following her current AAP!*
Dr. K immediately commented on how wonderful she looked compared to the first time he saw her. He commented on how her coloring has changed, how her dark circles under her eyes are gone (even after a LONG night of little to no sleep- yes there is a difference in the type of "dark circles" though in my opinion) and she looked over all healthier. I just smiled. As he listened to her lungs he just kept listening and listening and listening. It seemed like FOREVER. Yes, they do listen for a long time, that is normal, but this seemed like hours.
When he was done, he looked up and was grinning. He said there would be no need to do x-rays or the oxygen test (spacing what he called it...) since she sounded so great. He had taken his time listening since he does not get to listen to such healthy "asthmatic" lungs very often. What a great thing for a mommy to hear after only 6 months of "treating" such a little kiddo! It also gives us great hope in our healer our Lord God that she will grow out of this in the years to come.
Going into the appointment we had planned to bump up her inhaler doses (double at least) for the Fall and Winter "just to be safe" but Dr. K is confident she is doing so well that we can stay on course with where we are and continue with our current AAP. We did change our "when sick" procedures so they were more clear, but that it.
Our Lilly bug is breathing easier, growing healthier and stronger and loving life! She makes her Daddy and Mommy proud!
(She was 29lbs and 30 inches yesterday!!!)
