Over MLK weekend and the following week our family headed to Winter Park, CO for our annual ski trip.
It
was about a 14 hour drive from our house to the condo. Our goal was to
leave NLT 0300. We pulled out of the driveway at 0259! Yes, we are
getting to be that good.
The girls took a while to fall back asleep. They were just as excited as we were to be headed to "real" mountains.
The
first part of the trip was a new route for Chad and me since we took
the "safe rather than sorry" route since it had snowed and iced over a
day or two before. It took a little longer, but it got us up and onto
I-70 with fewer twists and turns and we were left with the straight shot
due WEST!
