This was the first year all our girls got up on skis.
Chad is a natural and has been skiing for who knows how long. This was
my third season and I was able to do harder runs, work on my form and be
a little more "brave" and allow for more speed. Madison is also on her
third season. She had two days of ski lessons and spent the days
scouring the mountain with the instructor and her fellow classmates.
Hannah was scheduled for one day of ski school. We were not sure how she
would like it since she is not a fan of being cold. To our joy, we
picked her up and she had done so well and loved skiing so much we set
her up for another day. Lillian had one day of lessons. At her age they
whisk the kiddos away on "mini snow cats" to the top of the mountain
where there is a beginner area and let them explore their inner skier.
She loved skiing and talks about how she is going to go to ski school
next year.
YES! Chad has gotten his dream; all his girls can ski and love to ski.
It is now not something that just the two of just do as a couple, but
skiing is something we can and will continue to do as a family.
