Madison had her 6 year check-up yesterday. She is "perfect" being 46in and 46lbs. They say a pound per inch is the ideal size for a kiddo her age. She is healthy, active, eats well and full of spunk.
While the doctor was asking her about what she likes to do she was talking about the park, playing outside, reading books... etc. When the doctor asked if she always wears her helmet when she rides her bike she promptly responded with, "only when I am with mommy. Daddy doesn't make me wear it!" Then the doctor asked if she did any sports, dance or other activities. Madison said, "NOPE! Mommy doesn't BELIEVE in those things." After these two comments the doctor just laughed. She knows our family and is a realist. She, too, has young kiddos and understands. The last question that left the doctor laughing was when she asked Madison what grade she would be in next year, "FIFTH! Because I am awesome like that." Confident much? The doctor looked at me and said, "6 going on 21!" Sums Madison up quite well.
Tomorrow we celebrate her 6th birthday as a family and two girls who have become great friends to the girls as their babysitters.
