Another Day

Today is another day.

Too many times as a SAHM (stay at home mom) I loose sight of what is important. It is not the house being clean, the kiddos being perfect angels, something to keep them occupied at all time or having the best activities planned. It is about raising them to fear God, love being together as a family, realizing that there is a HUGE world out there ready to be explored.

Today is another day. While lying in bed waiting for the girls to "wake me up" I was trying to come up with something fun, different or creative to do. After straining my morning brain MINUS the coffee (not a good plan) I came up with NOTHING.

The girls were quick to get me up and start the day. I asked them what THEY wanted to do for the day. Madison answered with the following list; "You can go workout at the gym while we play with out toys, then we can play in our room and make it a huge mess, you can take a shower, then we can all have lunch, then some quiet time so Lilly can rest, then the park and then some supper and then maybe we can go swimming when it is not so hot. Sound good mom?" Why YES it did sound great. Just another day at home, nothing "special" or "planned" or even adventurous. Just a day.

We are to the "quiet time" right now. Lillian is dancing around the living room, the other two are trying to get her to sit down so we can all have some quiet time. (I doubt that will happen!) The great thing is, that is fine. Just means bed time will be sooner and smoother with her.

I guess I am enjoying today knowing that the next few weeks, make that months, will be filled with packing, organizing, unpacking, house hunting and transitions. All exciting and different for our family, but never the less today is a great day to just sit back and enjoy "just another day" with my girls. I am blessed to be home with them, enjoy days like today and watch them interact, play, learn and grow together.

I love hearing about your little family... You are such a great mama and I know that your girls are being raised up to be lovers of Jesus! Cute new blog background by the way!
