Yes, it is GONE! I never have been, never wanted to be and hope to never be AGAIN a mini-van driver. Right before L was born we could not fit the three seats safely in my favorite vehicle, my Toyota 4Runner. Sadly it was traded across the floor for a mini-van. I knew it was temporary, but I still struggled. I tried to justify it with how nice it was that the doors opened and closed by the push of a button and all the storage. But, at the end of the day, I was frustrated. If you know me very well, you know I drove a Suburban for many years. I told Chad to thank my father for having me feel safe and enjoy driving large vehicles. (Thanks Daddy! :o)
Anyways, our last mini ice storm did me in. My loathed van was slipping and sliding while even cars were driving normally. I was officially done! Chad came home from being gone for a week and took me straight the the dealership we had been working with for a few weeks. We left that night with my new SUV.
It is almost as good as my 4Runner. I am sure I will grow to love driving it just as much if not even more! I get all my girls in the seat behind me. Madison no longer has to scream the whole length of the van to tell me something, with no guarantee that I will hear!!!
Some of you may think, all of this for a car? Yes, I admit! I drive a lot each day taking my girls here and there and making sure life is running smoothly. If it takes an SUV to help me feel safe, enjoy talking with my kids in the car and not feel like a frumpy mom, CHAD IS ON IT!
Thank you honey for my new Toyota Sequoia!
Until I take a picture of my own, this will suffice!
