Home

"Home is where the Army sends you."

I never thought I would fully believe this, but I do! Some how I am mentally checked out of Maryland and jumping in with both feet here in Ohio. In a matter of a weekend Chad and I were able to take an empty rental town house and make it into a home for our family. Yes, the garage is still packed with boxes, but those can all be dealt with in the months to come. Our house is now home with all the items that make us smile.

God's hand has been in this from the get go. It is amazing what HE can do when you step back and LET HIM!

There are still adjustments to be made, new schedules to learn, learning to stay on the outer loop of Columbus and remembering that it is only a year. Lots to learn, process and soak in.

How are the girls? The majority of the day they are wonderful, happy and full of energy. However, there are moments in the day that Madison just breaks down in tears missing her friends, school and church. Hannah has moments where she can NOT get enough hugs. Lillian seems to be coping with sleep. LOTS of sleep. As a mom, I am so proud. They are handling it all much better than I could have asked. Hey, better than me for the most part.

Prayer: Madison tests for grouping on Thursday in order to help her be most successful in Kindergarten, I register Hannah for preschool Thursday afternoon and I will be trying out a new church ALONE this coming Sunday. Chad is in Maryland for a few weeks, then back here for a quick Labor Day and then we will meet up again at his Change of Command in September.
