Happy Long Weekend... I suppose.

It is a 4 day weekend on most military installations. It has been a while since we were near one that actually HAD and TOOK the 4 days when they were available.
Driving on post this morning was eerie, scary eerie! No one was at the gates, the parking lots were sparsely sprinkled with cars, 2/3 of Hannah class never showed up! Crazy stuff I tell you.
We are staying low key this weekend. Maybe if daddy was here or Lillian was not in the middle of potty training or if all three of the girls did not have noses that resembled a faucet dripping... yes, then maybe we, too, would be "GONE" for the weekend as well.
Life happens. Sometimes you wish it would go a different way, but then again where would the excitement, guessing or on your toes decision making be?
As to not feel "left out" of the long weekend, we had a movie (Charlotte's Web) and delivery pizza for supper. Tomorrow we will try to the local farmer's market since we can be there and back within the hour break for Lillian. Sunday is possibly church, all depends on the girls and how they are feeling. Monday, we shall see. I am thinking a movie day at home to snuggle and PRETEND it is Fall, since Missouri weather likes to think it still needs to be in the upper 80s most days.
